iam a foreign pharmacy student.here in india we own only four year pharmacy course and iam going to overhaul out in 2007 so iam not eligible for FPGEC and NAPLEX exams but iam planning for masters (in pharmacology) surrounded by u.s;after masters i will be having 6year point so that iam eligible for these exams in directive to get licensed.to seize licensed is first step for me but i also want to be certified as doctarate in pharmacy(i know u.s is giving 5 or 6 long year course for pharm.d).i dont want to verbs immediately after my masters.i want to do position and then bring together for phd. only if i would be certified as doctarate.please suggest. Better check what the board of pharmacy contained by the state where you want to work say. You may have to repeat frequent courses to be eligible to sit for NABPLEX which requires that you graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy . Most PharmD programs are 6 to 8 years in length and require clinical rotations. After that, you may want to do a residency within a Therapeutic Specialty.
Also, being form outside the US, some states will require as exam of your ability to communicate surrounded by english as well.
The PharmD is a clicial doctorate and the solely entry level scope in the U.S. in a minute, so you MUST have it surrounded by order to be eligible to sit for the boards and you MUST surpass the NABPLEX plus a legal exam to be licensed to practice pharmacy.
Nothing much to verbs, you can work here as a pharmacist. Then while working, settle your dream of taking masters and Doctorate. The most important point is to get a step on flying here. One step at a time and your dream will surely come true!
Goodluck!
